SGA Professional Clothing Closet is committed to providing a safe and healthy resource for all our staff and students. To ensure we have a safe and healthy Clothing Closet, we have developed the following COVID-19 Preparedness Plan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Directors and Associates are all responsible for implementing this plan. Our goal is to mitigate the potential for transmission of COVID-19 in our Clothing Closets and the UGA community, and that requires full cooperation among our Directors and Associates. Only through this cooperative effort can we establish and maintain the safety and health of all persons in our Clothing Closet.
- All staff members and student patrons will be required to sanitize before entry and have a face covering on during the entire appointment.
- Increased cleaning and disinfecting have been implemented.
- Shoe rentals have been placed on hold until further notice.
- New contactless pick-up has been implemented (see more below).
- All in-person events have been moved virtually.
- All staff meetings have been moved virtually.
Drop-off & pick-up practices and protocol
Students will need to enter from the first floor of the Engagement, Leadership, and Service Office and take the stairs to the Clothing Closet. The second floor door will be for exiting only to control the flow of traffic and number of persons in the space.
We will still continue to have our 15-minute dressing appointments with students that must be scheduled in advance on our website. There will be additional time added between appointments to allow for sanitizing and cleaning after each appointment. Staff members will all be required to wear a face mask at all times in addition to gloves. All student patrons must also wear a face mask and sanitize upon entry. Appointments will only include one staff member and one student. All additional students will need to wait in the designated and socially distant waiting area on the second floor of the ELS.
Students may opt in for contactless pick-up by indicating when scheduling their appointment. There will be a shelf located outside Room 201Q which will be organized by order number and last name. Pick-up may only take place during the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Orders not picked up within one hour of their scheduled pick-up time must be rescheduled.
Our Full Plan
The University of Georgia continues to work closely with the University Health Center, the University System of Georgia, and local and state public health officials to monitor COVID-19. The top priority in these uncertain times remains the health, safety and well-being of all members of our campus community.
